Michael Phelps
Interview with TIME Magazine
Do you listen to music prior to your race to get yourself in the right mood to crush your opponents? If so, what do you listen to?—Lance Scadden, Madison, Wisc.
I listen to hip hop and rap to sort of help me get focused, to get ready to get up and do what I'm there do. It helps me to tune everything out, and take one step at time. A lot of the new stuff is what I have on my MP3 player. I don't really have any favorites, but right now, it might be Young Jeezy; I just listen to whatever comes on.
What do you eat for breakfast?—Louise DeMartini, Provo, Utah
It depends. Usually before practice, cereal or oatmeal. After practice, it's eggs, and a bunch of protein.
What's the craziest thing you've ever done?—Clara Lind, Wausau, WI
The craziest thing I've ever done? I live a pretty conservative life, so I probably really haven't done anything crazy.
How high a priority is education for you? I ask this because swimmers - in contrast to football players- can't live the rest of their life of the money the get from their sport.—Charlotte Hansen, Denmark
I do plan on getting a college education. That's one thing I would like to do. Right now, swimming is the #1 priority for me. I'm not going to have this career forever, so I think I should take advantage of what I have, what I'm possibly capable of doing over the next year and years to come.

Interview with IGN Sports
IGN Sports: Is Aquaman your favorite super hero? And how many times have you been asked that?
Michael Phelps:I don't have a favorite and you would not be the first to ask that question.
IGN Sports: Is that the stupidest question you get asked?
Michael Phelps:It's up there.
IGN Sports: You're 6' 4", about 200 pounds. Is your physique all from swimming, or do you hit the weights?
Michael Phelps:I've never lifted a single weight in my life. It's all from training in the water, period. That's not to say I wouldn't lift in the future, but now, no.
IGN Sports: What about your diet? Are you always eating super healthy?
Michael Phelps:I eat pretty much whatever I want. I don't have a strict diet. It's all about cramming in as many calories into my system as I possibly can. To be honest with you, I have a tough time keeping weight on.
IGN Sports: What about fast food?
Michael Phelps:Bring it on!
IGN Sports: Most young celebrities when they get some cash, the first thing they do is pimp a ride, and you were no different. Tell us about the vehicle.
Michael Phelps:I had to do it. I got a Cadillac Escalade. Put some rims on it, threw a couple TV's in there, and installed a system. I stuck my Xbox in there, I had to go for it. I did just sell it though.
IGN Sports: So what do you get now? A Mini?
Michael Phelps:(…laughs) Those things are roomier that you think, but no, I actually just bought a Range Rover.
IGN Sports: Do you swim every day?
Michael Phelps:I used to swim every day, but now I just swim six days a week.
Really sorry you had to take the picture off. When you are at home (it's blocked at school) go to http://flickrcc.bluemountains.net/ this is flickrcc. cc stands for creative commons. Again, you may use these pictures as long as you give the photographer credit. THERE ARE MORE PICTURES HERE THAN YOU CAN IMAGINE. EVEN MICHAEL PHELPS ones that you can use. Just like google pics there may be some questionable material. Use your best judgement
