1. Smithsonian invention: guitars

Description: This website gives a lot of facts about guitars. For example, something I learned was that around 1942, Les Paul invented the "Log", a type of guitar that delivered better sound and volume than the ones at the time. However, there were no links to other sites or activities on this site. It was a little on the boring side and there were no videos and very few pictures; I didn't reconize any of them.

Rating: 23 of 36- no activities, links, videos, few pics, lots of facts though.

2. How guitars work

Description: This website was good. It specifically explained how a guitar (acoustic and electric) creates sound. In one of the senteces, it gave and equation of how the sound is amplified. At the beginning, it explained how amps work, too. A great website, only a little boring because there wasn't a lot of pics
